Act Now: Standing Rock Goes to Europe, 20th of May! Here’s How You Can Help!

17884675_1882271901986048_7729542851112429372_nFrom the 20th of May, five Standing Rock native defenders will be travelling to over ten European cities on the first ever Stand Up With Standing Rock European Tour to strengthen alliances in opposition of the Dakota Access Pipeline and other fossil fuel projects on their territories. The tour supports two strategies of the movement- a broad divestment campaign (many DAPL investers are European banks) and non-violent civil disobedience actions (the trip will coincide with French bank stockholder meetings, the Nato Summit, and Trump’s visit to Europe).

This tour is being supported by a network of overseas resistance groups including Women’s March Global,, Women’s March Bareclona, Resistance Events Italy amongst others!

How can I help!

  • Attend: If you are in Europe, find a Standing Rock European Tour event, and attend. If not spread the word to people you know. Share on facebook, twitter, etc.
  • Solidarity: To welcome Standing Rock defenders to Europe, post a photo at 12pm on Saturday, the day they launch their tour, holding a sign that says “Stand Up With Standing Rock” with the #StandUpWith and #StandingRock hashtags.
  • Donate to Standing Rock: Help the movement by donating here.
  • Divest: If your money is invested in a bank that support DAPL, the tour can be your excuse to finally divest. Find out which banks are involved here.
